Fantasy football players who had Rams running back Todd Gurley on their teams are thanking him for his prolific 2017 season by making big donations to charity.

Gurley became the third player in NFL history to have at least 2,000 scrimmage yards, 10 rushing touchdowns and more than five receiving touchdowns in a single season. Gurley’s 118 rushing yards, 158 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in Week 16 came during a crucial time for many fantasy owners — the playoffs — and he became responsible for a lot of league championships clinched on Christmas after the Rams’ Christmas Eve victory against the Titans.

In true holiday spirit, a lot of owners who benefited from Gurley’s success decided to pay it forward by donating some of their winnings to Shriners Hospitals for Children, which is a charity close to Gurley’s heart.

Many took to Twitter to let the running back know how they were spending their winnings after he helped them to fantasy championships.
