One of Atlanta’s key targets escaped significant injury this weekend. Another may not be as lucky.
Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is expected to miss two to three weeks with a hamstring injury after getting hurt in the team’s loss to the Bills on Sunday, ESPN reported.
According to the report, Sanu had an MRI Monday morning and Falcons coach Dan Quinn will address the team’s injuries later in the afternoon. Given the timeline and the team’s upcoming bye week, Sanu may only miss the Falcons’ Week 6 matchup against the Dolphins before returning if he’s deemed healthy enough.
Sanu suffered the injury in the first half of Sunday’s meeting and was ruled out for the rest of the game. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was also without Julio Jones after the star wide receiver exited in the second quarter with a hip flexor injury and did not return.
Sanu, 28, has 16 receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown through the first four weeks of the season.
